Gem Faerie

When the boy was abandoned at the door of an orphanage, all he had was a golden jewel and a name tag.

A few years later, Francois wandered the streets constantly wondering who his parents were. One day, a spirit materialized from his jewel, and told him of his father’s whereabouts.

Yes, faeries do exist. In fact, they live long. Yet his jewel’s faerie lost its memory. The faerie knew not who it is or what stone it resided in. The earliest it can remember is his father’s homeland far away from France.

Hence, the boy joins the Crusade, an armed pilgrimage to claim the Holy Land from the Muslims. If the magical powers of the gem faerie are strong enough, the boy shall know who his father was, and the faerie who it is.
